Gwen Frederickson

I grew up in the small town of Grand Ledge, Michigan and always knew I wanted to “create”. I earned a degree in Visual Communication from Ferris State University, and moved to Chicago, Illinois to experience graphic design in the competitive and fast-paced, windy city.

I was fortunate to work in a small graphic design firm for 5 years and learned the design process from the initial client contact to the piece coming off the press.

After my 5 year education, I moved back to Michigan to start a family. I worked as a graphic designer at Borders (remember Borders book store?!) for a year, then started my own business. Just Gwen Designs was born within 6 months of my first child, and I’ve never looked back. I’m fortunate to have clients with me for over 20 years.

I enjoy all the aspects of the design process, however my favorite part is the research phase. Working with my clients to create the best vessel for their message, is my particular strength. I enjoy researching and brainstorming ideas and offering the best solution for YOU, even if it means less work for me.
